Cutting the Boards

After the lumber pickers deliver the materials to the lines, thoroughly trained employees run the boards through state-of-the-art automated cutoff saws.  These computerized saws operate on high-end software programs that automatically set saw blades to cut precise parts everytime!  These saws increase productivity through faster setup times than manual entry cutoff saws.  Boards are cut to consistent in lengths every time.  Angles are accurate to within .5 degrees tolerance.  Boards that come out of these saws ensure a perfect fit everytime.

Material Handling

Once the boards are cut and stacked on carts, a dedicated material handler stocks all of the production lines in the shop. This part of the process helps eliminate downtime for the production tables as workers never have to leave their stations to go looking for missing materials.  The material handler ensures that each station is ready to build trusses and places boards within easy reach for workers to grab what they need and go.

Lumber Picking

Our process begins in the lumber yard where we stock the highest grade materials to use in our trusses.  We stock lengths ranging from 8 ft. to 20 ft. and carry every nominal width board.  Our larger boards, 2x8s, 2x10s, and 2x12s are Southern Yellow Pine for increased strength and durability.  Our lumber pickers pay close attention to the boards they choose to be used in trusses, carefully inspecting boards for cracks, wane, knots, twisting, cupping, and weathering.

Truss Building

Whether it's 10 ft. or 100 ft. long, our truss builders have a system that can put trusses out the door quicker than any other truss manufacturer.  Our state-of-the-art laser systems on each table means precise, accurate trusses are built to specifications consistently every time. This also means faster set up time and minimal error in nail plate placement. Quality is not checked after the fact but rather ensured from the very beginning. Truss Right takes pride in its products and that is carried throughout each employee as if every truss builder has been a master craftsman for years.

Shipping Trusses

It might be hard to imagine what happens with those large span trusses we build in the shop and send outside to be prepared for delivery.  Our yard forklift drivers pick trusses up from the table in heavy duty forklifts that can carry upwards of 10,000 pounds!  These guys must have nerves of steel while carrying such heavy loads, but our guys make it look easy. After loads are moved to the yard, our fleet of truck drivers can pull oversized loads to any job site and maneuver in the tightest spots to drop the trusses just where your crew needs them.  We take pride in our work right to the end when you finally get your trusses.
